We’re very pleased to share some good news with our families.
On 3 August 2026, Ofsted visited Rising Stars Activities at Parliament Hill School for an inspection. We are delighted that the setting reached a Strong standard, with Ofsted also confirming that our safeguarding standards were met.
For us, an inspection is about much more than the outcome on the front page. It is an opportunity for somebody independent to spend time within the setting, observe how our team works with children and look closely at the experience children receive throughout the day.
That is why some of the detail within this report means so much to us.
What does “Strong standard” mean?
Under Ofsted’s current framework, a Strong standard means that leaders are working above the standard expected of them.
At Parliament Hill, Ofsted reached that judgement across behaviour, attitudes and routines; children’s welfare and wellbeing; inclusion; and leadership and governance. Safeguarding standards were also met.
The report describes children behaving very well and responding positively to the clear expectations created by staff. It also recognises the warm relationships between children and coaches, and the way children are encouraged to share their own ideas and interests.
These are things that matter to us because they shape how a child actually feels at camp.
A programme can have an exciting timetable, but children also need to feel comfortable asking for help, joining a group or telling a coach what they would like to do.
Feeling safe, valued and included
We were particularly pleased to see the report recognise the emphasis our staff place on wellbeing and inclusion.
Ofsted found that staff take time to understand children’s individual needs and make appropriate adjustments so that children can take part confidently. The report also highlights the partnership between our team and parents, with open communication helping staff provide consistent support.
That includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The inspector noted the way staff adapt activities and routines when required, including providing calm spaces for children who need time to regulate before rejoining an activity.
What was it like for the children?
Perhaps the part of the report we are proudest of is its description of the children themselves.
Ofsted found that children were warmly welcomed, formed positive relationships with staff and showed high levels of enjoyment in the activities available to them. Their ideas were also incorporated into the daily programme, helping children feel listened to and valued.
The report also gives us something to keep working on. Ofsted has asked us to continue strengthening our work to remove barriers for children who need additional help. Continuous improvement is important to us, and we will keep building on what is already working well.
Thank you to our Parliament Hill team for the care and energy they bring to the setting, and to every parent who trusts Rising Stars with their child.
Most importantly, thank you to the children who make Parliament Hill such an enjoyable place to be.

We believe parents should be able to see the findings for themselves.
