Dear Parents,
October Half Term is getting closer and the Rising Stars team is busy putting the final preparations in place across our camps.
This October feels particularly special.
We’ll be returning to Archer Academy, where our holiday-camp journey began and to Lee Valley VeloPark, which has become a firm favourite with so many families.
We’re also preparing for our first holiday camp at Woodlands Primary School in Tonbridge.
Starting somewhere new always brings a mixture of excitement and responsibility. Families are trusting us for the first time, children are walking into a new environment, and it’s our job to make that first experience a positive one.
More Than the Activity on the Timetable
We put a lot of thought into the specialist activities children see advertised.
They give every day something different to look forward to. But some of my favourite camp moments are much smaller. A nervous child joining their first game. Someone trying an activity they were sure they wouldn’t enjoy. Two children who didn’t know each other in the morning leaving as friends.
Those moments are just as important to us as the headline activity.
Looking Ahead to Half Term
Across our October camps, children will have opportunities to be active, creative, solve problems and simply enjoy spending time with other children away from the normal school routine.
Some families will join us for a full week. Others will choose one or two days around work and family plans.
Either way, we want children to go home feeling that they’ve had a genuinely good day.
Thank you, as always, for continuing to support Rising Stars.
We’re looking forward to seeing many of you very soon.
